The contrasting black scrolling embroidery work showcases beautifully on this off white two-piece Edwardian Peasant Skirt and Bodice Dress. The bodice is boned and has an attached interior camisole so I would consider that lined. The skirt is sheer and unlined. Please note condition on both pieces.
The listing is for the two piece edwardian dress, the red crochet seed bead flapper necklace is not included.
Condition: Good/Fair Staining, main issues on bodice are small dark spots on front and sleeve. Soiling at bottom of skirt and a yellow spot just above the first row of embroidery in the middle of the skirt. The bottom off-white hem of the skirt is actually a separate piece that can be completely detached and washed separately, in fact there is an area that is already coming undone (you can see pins in one of the photos). There is a nickel sized hole in the skirt around the knee level near the embroidery on one side, perhaps a piece of fabric taken from the the very bottom of the skirt could be used as a patch. Needs overall cleaning, we have not attempted to clean. I think she's worth the effort.
FINAL SALE due to its delicate nature.
Bodice is boned with a separate attached camisole that buttons down the front with all 8 tiny round (mother of pearl?) buttons.
