Vintage 1960's, 70's Silk Evening Dress with hand beaded Floral, Vine and Leaf Pattern. This dress comes from a family member of the designer of this dress, they were sold in the 1970's in boutiques on Madison Ave in New York City and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA. This dress, couture level of design and tailoring, completely lives up to its provenance. The beads are stitched to create each flower, leaf and vine so that the overall design pops off the black silk. The contrasting white beads on the black silk give it a mod vibe. From the empire waist, the skirt falls straight down to the ankles. The bead work trails vertically down the skirt to elongate the sheath silhouette. This dress is pure elegance from top to bottom, from inside to out, with great attention to detail, styling and construction, it is one of the finest dresses we've had the honor of representing on this site.
The dress is fully lined, expertly tailored and zips up the rear with a hidden nylon zipper.
