1920s Mocha Chiffon and Lace Vintage Flapper Dress with Vibrant Floral Print

Floral print mocha chiffon serves as the outer layer, a whisper really, over the attached/stitched in light copper silk satin lining.  The floral design done in hues of blues and grays and further accented with pops of orange and purple create the perfect contrast to the mocha canvass.  With a taupe lace insert at the bust, blouson bust and undefined waist, this dress is everything 20's.  We more often see for this era evening flapper dresses, but what I like about this one is its uniqueness for the afternoon setting, so delicate and sophisticated. The dress appears to be home-made.

The opening at the neck is 91/2" and there are no buttons or fasteners, it is fixed, and your head will need to be able to easily pass through here in order to get into the dress, especially due to the delicate nature of the chiffon. This is an update to the listing. This dress is for study and is a FINAL SALE. It is extremely delicate and I am not claiming it as wearable. I have also lowered the price based on this latest observation.

A note about fit and putting the dress on. There are no fasteners, buttons or anything, the dress pulls on over the head. In order to get it on there is a 91/2" opening at the top/neck that your head will need to pass through, and all this while protecting the delicate chiffon. For this reason, I am not claiming this dress as wearable but more for appreciation of the print and study.

The last images show some of the imperfections, there are a few water-type spots in the chiffon hidden in the folds and drapes and a few tiny pin pricks in the fabric as well on the underside of the shawl collar folded back (I folded back the collar in the image to show the tiny holes, these are not seen when the collar is in its resting position when the dress is on).  The last image shows tiny holes in the small 'ties' or 'drapes' that hang down in the front of the dress at the waist, those two loose pieces.  These can be seen when worn as they are on the outside.  The silk chiffon is sheer and delicate so great caution must be exercised with putting on/off and wearing the dress.
