Amazing hand-stitched bustle is the focal point on this Victorian era jacket. With mandarin collar and mother of pear buttons, it is a fine example of 19th Century style.
Fabric I believe to be flax although I am no expert. It is a very tight weave fabric, and very sound structurally.
Measurements:
I took these measurements while the jacket was on the dress form because it fit so perfectly there and with all the seaming, it seemed the best way to get a more accurate measurement.
Size XS
Bust 33"
Waist 24"
Hips 35"
Shoulders 13"
Sleeve Length 18 1/2"
Condition: See images. Soiling and spotting in several places including on sleeves, on bustle and on lower front of jacket. The collar needs to be restitched at the seam. Will need an overall cleaning, not sure if the spots will come out. Overall bit of dusty-ness to the jacket. The buttons are beautiful and in tact. The inside is very clean with no underarm soiling.
The jacket is unlined and closes down the front. It is boned in the center back, the side seams and the front for a perfect fit.
