1920s Crochet Flapper Dress with window-pane stitching around skirt and bell sleeves. Stunning!
Unlined and pulls on over the head with no fasteners. Sheer so will need a slip. I believe it is crocheted with silk thread.
This listing is for the dress only and does not include the micro bead bag.
Condition: Excellent, purchased from a family member of the original owner. I do recommend examining the dress with a crochet hook for any loose or 'unhooked' stitches as I noticed a few stitches coming undone which is not uncommon in these hand crochet pieces and I'm sure there are more. Also there is fraying of the threads especially around the hem. You'll also want to tie up some of the thread endings so they don't 'pull'.
The dress is wearable but I would not recommend going out dancing in it. The thread is very silky/slippery and the crochet is more of an open loose pattern so with lots of movement and tugging, these stitches could come undone.
Due to the fragility of this dress it is a FINAL SALE, no returns or exchanges, please be sure you understand the crochet nature of this dress before ordering.
Measurements:
The dress is very stretchy but I recommend this dress for a size small to avoid stretching.
The following measurements are with the dress laying flat.
Bust 38"
Waist 32"
Hips 32"
Sleeve Length 20"
Dress Length 32"
