A study in embroidery techniques and stitches, this vintage pagoda embroidered peasant top is a wonderment in craftsmanship alone and worthy of framing. The colors are stunning. One of my favorites I've ever seen. A pastural setting of weeping and bonsai trees, seafaring travelers and pagodas done in a variety of embroidery stitches.
I will caution, it is very tiny, for study or framing if not for wearing, see measurements below.
Condition: Excellent/Very Good. The embroidery is in amazing shape. There is a small-to-tiny weak area in the fabric in the back of the top, it is almost all the way through, so I'm actually going to call it a hole. A few yellow/rust marks on one of the sleeves which are detectable in one or two of the images. Fraying at the ends of of the tassels. Still a love of a peasant top.
Unlined semi-sheer with no snaps or closures.
FINAL SALE for this delicate little love.
