1950's Strapless Black Velvet & Champagne Silk Satin Party Dress, Florence Pritchett for Frank Starr
This couldn't be the Florence Pritchett could it (JFK's uhhh ...friend)? Well, nonetheless, the dress is ravishing and beautifully crafted. The black velvet strapless bodice is fitted, boned and zips up the back. The waist is snug and the champagne silk skirt, fully lined, is pleated for a gentle fullness. On the underside of the dress, at the waistline the hips are 'padded' so the skirt poufs in absolute subtlety over the hips creating just enough fullness as the skirt flows toward the hemline. You will feel like a glamour girl in this one. Perfect with a glass of champagne as you offer wishes of good cheer to your friends and family. The label inside reads, "Florence Pritchett for Frank Starr".
