1940s Novelty Print dress in contrasting aqua florals on a mocha background. With tiny almost-there collar, fitted bodice and exquisitely pleated skirt that falls from scalloping panels that look like a peplum but they are stitched down. Note in the images you can see that the skirt dips down lower at each knee.
Exquisite tailoring as you would expect of the 40's.
This listing is for the dress only, if interested in the crocodile handbag, blue travel case or aqua crystal bracelet, please email me.
Condition is excellent, with some slight fading on the shoulders. The brown velvet belt is included but not really wearable, it is cracking throughout and weak in the front and the holes that the buckle passes through are 'chewed up' from wear and not very sturdy.
The dress is unlined and zips with two metal zippers; one on the back of the neckline and the other at the side. I believe the fabric is rayon.
Measurements:
Bust 35"
Waist 26"
Drop-waist / Hips 32" this measurement was taken where the pleats of the skirt begin, the dress falls free from here.
